We did all the carpentry of this house a few years ago, the truth is that at the time it was an exciting project, full of challenges, where the good harmony with the property was marked in the result of the work.

The house was a finalist in several decoration and architecture competitions, its photos have ended up being published in a good number of books and specialized magazines

A few days ago I received these photos of the property, where you can clearly see the natural aging process of the wood, this oxidation, which gives it a grayish hue, the owner told me…..Look how well the house is aging.

Indeed, he doesn’t mind that the wood follows its natural processes, he understands them and accepts them, just as he accepts the passage of time, his own aging. I think we should learn something from this person, nowadays, every day, we meet many customers who end up opting for materials such as aluminum, PVC and others, which, of course, do not require the same care as wood, as well as being much colder, polluting, disrespectful to the environment, difficult or impossible to recycle…

Too often we settle for the easy way, doing nothing, laziness, the iPad or TV screen and we don’t even have the heart to pick up a jar of oil and a paintbrush, a pick, which is enough for one pick a year, and in order not to do this we give up a life of WOOD!!!!!.
